An unknown harbour, believed to be in the Mediterranean.
An unknown harbour, believed to be in the Mediterranean. The photographer is looking across two small open boats, probably used for fishing, to a stone block breakwater. The breakwater has mooring bollards and permanent fenders evenly spaced along its length. A very similar method of construction for a quay wall can be seen at Palermo in Sicily (see negative number P94055). A few buildings are at the water's edge beyond the breakwater and the background comprises wooded hills. This negative was originally listed as being Palma, Majorca, but it is definitely not.
