The photographer is looking north-east-by-north showing the the two-masted schooner Cala Castell (1918) and the steam coaster Union (1878) with other vessels at the shipyard of Astillero Llompart on the left of the picture with the Sant Pere Bastion in the background. A number of open boats are drawn up on the foreshore in front of the Sant Pere Bastion and some leisure craft are berthed on the right. The church of Sant Creu is on the right.
