A motor lifeboat from the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company passenger cruise ship Viceroy of India (1929) approaching the landing steps on the breakwater in the harbour at Palma, Majorca. She is laden with passengers arriving for a shore excursion and a lascar seaman is waiting on the steps to assist the passengers to disembark. Fishing and leisure craft are in the harbour. The Sant Pere Bastion is on the left with the church of Santa Creu inland. The Llotja De Palma cultural centre is in the right background.
