A close view of the starboard side of the forward superstructure of the Swedish passenger cruise ship Gripsholm (1925) at anchor at Panama. The photographer is close alongside the ship looking up and slightly aft showing two of the ship's officers standing at the head of the forward accommodation ladder which has been lowered using the forward davit of number 3 lifeboat. The ship is dressed overall and is depicted in all white livery with the modifications to the promenade decks enclosures that were made prior to the start of the 1937 cruising season. It is not known if the ship is anchored at Colon at the north end of the canal or at Balboa at the south end. A vertical format negative.
