A close view of the starboard side of the front end of the superstructure and the foremast of the Swedish passenger cruise ship Gripsholm (1925) at Panama.
A close view of the starboard side of the front end of the forward superstructure and the foremast of the Swedish passenger cruise ship Gripsholm (1925) alongside a quay at Panama. The photographer is on the quay close alongside the ship looking up and slightly forward showing two of the ship's officers standing at the head of the forward accommodation ladder overseeing the disembarkation of some of the passengers from the shell doors. The ship is dressed overall and is depicted in all white livery with the modifications to the promenade decks enclosures that were made prior to the start of the 1937 cruising season. It is not known if the ship is at Cristobal at the north end of the canal or at Balboa at the south end. A vertical format negative.
