Local boats of various types dried out on the litter strewn foreshore at Belem (also known as Belem do Para), Brazil. A man is sitting in the nearest boat which is very small, has a sail furled round a mast which is laid on top of the hull and has a woven basket in it. A number of larger single masted boats are lined up on the beach, which has trees in the background.
