The harbour and town at Philippeville, Algeria.
The harbour and town at Philippeville, Algeria. The photographer is on board an Orient Line passenger cruise ship anchored in the bay looking towards the town showing the ship's motor lifeboat number 16 heading back to the ship from the shore. Each breakwater has a lighthouse on the end of it. The Hotel de Ville (Town Hall) with its distinctive tower is close to the waterfront in the centre of the picture and the bell tower of the Eglise Church is beyond it.
