A roll film negative showing a quayside view of the High Level Bridge and the Swing Bridge during the Cutty Sark Tall Ships Race in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1993. The image was taken from the quayside looking south west. There are two yachts moored to the quayside in the foreground on the right hand side of the image. The yacht moored to the quayside has the name 'GRENADA' painted on its bow. A second yacht is moored on Grenada's starboard side but cannot be identified. A banner is present on the side of the High Level Bridge with the words 'PORT OF TYNE & NEWCASTLE CITY COUNCIL WELCOME THE TALL SHIPS'. A person can be seen on a jet ski in the middle of the river, to the right of the main bridge support.
