The town, harbour and bay at Philippeville, Algeria.

The town, harbour and bay at Philippeville, Algeria. The photographer is looking north-north-west from high ground showing the town and in the centre foreground is a warehouse style building with Citroen Louis Billiard on it. Long lines of small open boats are at moorings in the harbour near the west breakwater and there is a lighthouse on the end of each breakwater. An Orient Line passenger cruise ship, seen from off her port quarter, is at anchor in the bay and a headland with two rocky offshore islands are in the background.
