The Hotel Formentor on the Cap de Formentor on the north side of Pollenza Bay, Mallorca, Balearic Islands. The photographer is looking east-north-east from on board one of the lifeboats of the Orient Line passenger cruise ship Orford (1928) which is anchored out in the bay. The lifeboat is off the hotel's landing stage. The exclusive Hotel Formentor was completed 1929-1930 and a new wing is under construction at the east end of the hotel.
