A quayside stern view of the Swedish sail training topsail schooners Falken (1947), her sister ship Gladan (1946) and two small yachts moored outboard on the River Tyne, during the Cutty Sark Tall Ships Race in July 1993. The Falken is moored to the quayside and the ship is fully dressed with a Swedish ensign flying from a flagstaff on its stern. Moored on Falken's starboard side is Falken's sister ship Gladan. Similar to Falken, the ship is fully dressed and has a Swedish ensign flying from a flagstaff on its stern. Moored next to Gladan's starboard side are two small yachts. The yacht moored on the far right has a banner attached to its port side with the words 'N7843'. On the river off the yachts' starboard side is the tug vessel Pengarth (1962) with a second tug boat off Vigilant's stern. A large array of buildings and can be seen on both banks of the river in the background.
