The harbour and town of Portofino, Italy

The harbour and town at Portofino, Italy. The photographer is looking north-west-by-north from the Strada Statale on the south-west side of the harbour showing rowing boats and dinghies in the water and dried out on the foreshore of the Piazetta. The church of San Martino is in the centre and its tower is enclosed with scaffolding. The clock is reading 10.50. The premises fronting the Piazetta include the Hotel Restaurant Nazionale and the Hotel Restaurant Rolando. Some of the buildings on the right facing the Caleta Marconi have washing hanging out to dry and the word 'Tabacchi' is above a door.
