The south end of the town of Punta Arenas, Chile.
The south end of the town of Punta Arenas, Chile. The photographer is looking over the rooftops of what is believed to be the Veintiuno de Mayo with the Sastreria Imperatore on the corner in the left foreground. This is the affluent part of Punta Arenas and two motor coaches are parked on the road which is fully surfaced. In the distance with its bow onshore is the hulk of the 3-masted barque Falstaff (1875) and alongside it is the hulk of the steamship Hipparchus (1867).
