Shipping offshore from the south end of the town of Punta Arenas, Chile.
Shipping offshore from the beach at the south end of the town of Punta Arenas, Chile. The photographer is looking south-by-east showing a variety of steamships, sailing ships, lighters and hulks offshore. In the distance on the extreme right with its bow onshore is the hulk of the 3-masted barque Falstaff (1875) and alongside it is the hulk of the steamship Hipparchus (1867).
