The harbour and town at Portofino, Italy

The harbour and town at Portofino, Italy. The photographer is looking north-west from a stone pier off the Strada Statale on the south-west side of the harbour showing fishing nets laid out to dry. Rowing boats and dinghies are dried out on the foreshore of the Piazetta. The church of San Martino is to the right of centre and it has scaffolding against the main facade. The clock is reading 11.20. The premises fronting the Piazetta include the Hotel Restaurant Nazionale and the Hotel Restaurant Rolando. Some of the buildings on the right facing the Caleta Marconi have washing hanging out to dry and the words 'Barbiere' and 'Tabacchi' are above doors. The negative is incorrectly captioned Rapallo.
