The harbour and town at Portofino, Italy. The photographer is looking west-by-south from the Caleta Marconi on the north side of the harbour showing fishing nets laid out to dry in the right foreground. Rowing boats and a dinghy are afloat in the harbour, a rowing boat is on blocks on the Caleta Marconi and more rowing boats and dinghies are dried out on the foreshore of the Piazetta. Fronting the Strada Statale is the Cafe Excelsior and the premises fronting the Piazetta include the Hotel Restaurant Nazionale. Some of the buildings have washing hung out to dry. The negative is incorrectly captioned Rapallo.
