The Listasafn Islands (National Gallery of Iceland) and the Frikirkjan i Reykjavik on the Frikirkjuvegur on the shore of Tjornin Lake at Reykjavik, Iceland. The Listasafn has an arched facade and the church, which was completed in 1903, is a Lutheran Free Church. The photographer is looking south-east across the lake from the north-west corner showing a modern residential block on the left. In the right background is the Hljómskálinn, the pavilion built in 1923 as a centrepiece to Reykjavík’s first public park and as a music venue. A man is sitting by the side of the lake in the right foreground.
