A very close view of the upper stem and forecastle rail of the port bow of the Orient Line cruise ship Orion (1935) while moored in port. The photographer is looking up and aft from a wharf close alongside the bow showing one of the crew on a rope ladder overside almost touching the forecastle deck edge at the same time as his feet are adjacent to the port anchor's aft fluke.The Orient Line badge and the Union flag at the jackstaff are clearly visible. The Blue Peter flag is at the port yardarm and a tricolour national flag is at the starboard yardarm on the fore mast.
