A port side view, taken from abaft the beam, of the Orient Line cruise ship Orion (1935) anchored in Sognefjord off Balholm, Norway. She has both anchors deployed and an accommodation ladder is rigged to a shell door below the main deck aft. Three boats are in vicinity of the ladder. The ship is emitting a thin column of smoke from her funnel. The photographer is in a slightly elevated position on shore and in the foreground is a wooden building and a small jetty. Two ladies are on the end of the jetty and a motor passenger launch and two rowing boats are berthed alongside it.
