Boat traffic on a canal in Saigon, Vietnam.
Boat traffic on a canal in Saigon, Vietnam. The canal banks are lined with boats of wooden construction, many with with joggled strakes, and most are of the residential and cargo carrying type. A few small boats are moving under sweeps in the centre of the canal and a footbridge is in the distance. The buildings on either side of the canal are up the 3 storeys in height and have shops at ground floor level. They are mainly of brick or rendered construction.
