A river scene at Saigon, Vietnam.
A river scene at Saigon, Vietnam. The stretch of water is probably a tributary of the Saigon River as it does not look wide enough to be the Saigon River itself. Wooden cargo lighters and sampan type vessels are alongside the river banks. A three car electric tram or train is on the left of the picture. Commercial premises with a large chimney are in the left background. Stacks of bagged produce are on the right bank of the river and a line of single storey shops under a pitched roof is in the right foreground.
