A river scene at Saigon, Vietnam.
A river scene at Saigon, Vietnam. The stretch of water is probably a tributary of the Saigon River as it does not look wide enough to be the Saigon River itself. Wooden cargo lighters and sampan type houseboats are packed alongside the right bank. Single storey warehouses under pitched roofs are on the left bank and there are stacks of bagged produce outside some of them. A few small boats are moving under sweeps on the river. A commercial street with overhead tram wires is on the right.
