A close detail of two houseboats on a river at Saigon, Vietnam.

A close detail of two houseboats on a river at Saigon, Vietnam. The stretch of water is probably a tributary of the Saigon River as it does not look wide enough to be the Saigon River itself. The photographer is close to the port bows of the boats looking towards the accommodation shelters showing a man, a woman and a young child sitting outside the cabins. The boat on the left is numbered 8241 and the boat on the right is displaying two numbers: 636 and 4047. Single storey warehouses under pitched roofs are in the background. A vertical format negative.
