The ship is dressed overall and is one of Duchess of Atholl (1928), Duchess of Bedford (1928) and Duchess of Richmond (1928). The photographer is on shore looking seaward showing a palm tree in the foreground and anchored just offshore are four single masted sailing vessels and a two open boats.
