A coastal scene at St. Kitts, West Indies.

A coastal scene at St. Kitts, West Indies. The photographer is looking along a beach showing a small group of women and one boy in the foreground. A number of open boats are drawn up on the shore and eight men are dragging another open boat up the beach from the water's edge. Single and two-storey buildings face the sea and they are interspersed with palm trees. The location is unknown but is probably near Basseterre.
