A distant aerial view of Castries harbour, St. Lucia, West Indies.
A distant aerial view of the harbour at Castries, St. Lucia, West Indies. The photographer is looking north-east-by-north from high ground to the south showing a few small sailing vessels alongside the wharves or at moorings. Moored in the harbour is the Royal Navy sloop Dundee (1932), seen from abaft her starboard beam, and she has awnings rigged forward and aft. Moored bow-on to the shore in the centre is an unidentified cable ship seen from abaft the starboard beam. She is in poor condition and appears to be laid up. The main town is in the right foreground.
