A distant port side view, taken from abaft the beam, of the Cunard Line passenger cruise ship Laconia (1922) anchored off Saint. Pierre, Martinique.
A distant port side view, taken from well abaft the beam, of the Cunard Line passenger cruise ship Laconia (1922) anchored offshore at Saint Pierre, Martinique. The photographer is looking across the promenade and the foreshore showing local people and tourists on the foreshore. A number of wooden barrels and a pile of rocks are also on the shore. There are many boats gathered at the stern of the Laconia (1922) and a few are just offshore on the right. A large tree is in the right foreground and its branches act as a frame for the image of the ship.
