In the harbour just offshore are lighters, sloops and a schooner. Anchored further offshore are a steam tanker, three general cargo steamships, a cable ship and a Canadian Pacific Steamships cruise ship of the Duchess class (1928), either the Duchess of Atholl (1928), the Duchess of Bedford (1928) or the Duchess of Richmond (1928). All of these vessels are seen from off the starboard beam except for the Duchess which is seen from well ahead of her starboard beam.
