The waterfront at Salonica (Thessaloniki), Greece. The photographer is looking north-east from on board a cruise ship anchored out in the harbour. Two-masted Greek caiques and schooners and other small craft are at anchor in the harbour. Under way in the foreground returning to the ship is motor tender G. The large open space on the waterfront to the right of centre is Aristotelous Square.
