The United States Lighthouse Service base waterfront at La Puntilla, San Juan, Puerto Rico. The photographer is looking north-north-west from on board a cruise ship in San Juan Bay showing the United States Lighthouse Service base at La Puntila and a large number of navigation buoys are on the quayside and stored under palm trees. In the background to the right of centre is the Roof Garden Restaurant of the Hotel Palace and on the right is the National City Bank of New York and a building with SINGER on it. The wall of the Old Town can be seen on the left.
