The United States Lighthouse Service base at La Puntilla, San Juan, Puerto Rico. The photographer is looking north-east-by-north from a cruise ship in San Juan Bay showing the south-west side of the Lighthouse Service base. On the left is a 2-storey building with the words "Storyk Blouses entirely hand made" on it. In the background above this building are the Banco Comercial De Puerto Rico and the Hotel Palace. In the right background is the cable office building of the West India and Panama Telegraph Co. Ltd. and the Western Union Telegraph Company with three pole masts on it and inland of it are buildings with two lattice radio masts on them. On the extreme right is the wharf of the New York & Porto Rico Steamship Co with a steamer berthed on the far side of it.
