On board a passenger cruise ship passing the United States Lighthouse Service base at La Puntilla, San Juan, Puerto Rico. The photographer is near the mainmast of the ship looking south-east-by-south showing the low-lying, tree lined west shore of the base on the right. On the left are the walls surrounding the Old Town. The cruise ship has awnings rigged above the boat deck, a pair of samson posts aft of the mainmast and a single screw motor tender under the davits.
