A starboard near broadside view, taken from just ahead of the beam, of the Orient Line cruise ship Orion (1935) anchored off Zoppot, Free City of Danzig.

A starboard near broadside view, taken from just ahead of the beam, of the Orient Line cruise ship Orion (1935) anchored off Zoppot, free City of Danzig. Her starboard anchor is deployed, lifeboat number 17 has been launched and seaboat number 1 has been swung out and lowered to boat deck level. The vessel is flying the courtesy flag of the Free City of Danzig, a relatively unusual occurence on account of the small territory of Danzig, of which Zoppot was an integral part between 1920 and 1939. The negative is very slightly out of focus.
