A very distant port bow view of the Orient Line cruise ship Orion (1935) anchored at Tangier, Morocco. She has her starboard anchor deployed and an accommodation ladder is rigged to the main deck aft. The image of the Orion is slightly out of focus. A French Navy destroyer (torpilleur) of either the Alcyon or the Simoun classes (a total of 20 vessels) is seen at anchor on the right of the photograph. She is seen from wide off her starboard bow and has her port anchor deployed. Her two starboard side boats are in the water alongside the break of the forecastle and she has an accommodation ladder rigged at her quarterdeck. She has range clock on the face of her bridge.
