A distant port broadside view of the Orient Line cruise ship Orion (1935) at anchor in a Norwegian fjord with four of her lifeboats in the foreground. She has an accommodation ladder rigged to the main deck aft. The photographer is on board one of the ship's motor lifeboats looking aft showing three of the ship's manual lifeboats being towed away from the ship for the start of a race. The leading boat is number 6 and all three are crewed partly by passengers and they are proceeding with oars tossed. Negatives numbers P84420 to P84439 inclusive were taken on the same occasion.
