An extremely distant port broadside view of the Orient Line passenger cruise ship Orford (1928) anchored offshore at Santa Cruz de la Palma, Canary Islands. The photographer is looking south-east over the town and harbour from well inland. Trees and cacti are in the foreground. Three steamships are alongside the harbour breakwater and work is in progress to extend the breakwater seawards. Another cargo ship is anchored offshore near to the lower slopes of the Caldereta. The negative has been incorrectly loaded in the camera and needs to be printed emulsion up.
