A quayside three quarter port view of the cargo sailing ship De Tukker (1912), moored on the River Tyne, during the Cutty Sark Tall Ships Race in July 1993. A deck cabin coloured yellow and green can be seen on the right hand side of the image. The main and mizzen masts are visible wih their sails furled, and a orange life preserver with the ship's name and home port are attached to ropes on the port side. A group of people can be seen standing and sitting on the roof of a cargo hatch. Above the hatch is a banner attached to the mast that appears to show the words "GATESHEAD INTERNATIONAL YOUTH ACTION Committee". The symbol for Gatehead Council is visible on the right hand side of the banner. A second banner is partially visible attached to the mizzen mast. Moored to the starboard side of De Tukker is the trading schooner Oosterschelde (1918).
