The harbour wharf at Santa Cruz de la Palma, Canary Islands
The shore end of the harbour breakwater and the town at Santa Cruz de la Palma, Canary Islands. The photographer is looking along the breakwater showing a number of motor cars parked on the roadway and a building which has Obras del Puerto (Port Works Office) on it. On the flank wall of this building is a large sign concerning the vehicle speed limit. A little further inland is a Shell garage forecourt and petrol pump. A poster for Goodyear tyres is on the hillside. The town is built on the lower slopes of the Caldera de Taburiente.
