The harbour and the Caldereta at Santa Cruz de la Palma, Canary Islands
The harbour and the Caldereta at Santa Cruz de la Palma, Canary Islands. The photographer is on board an unidentified passenger cruise ship anchored offshore looking forward and slightly to starboard from the port side of the forward end of the promenade deck showing the foremast, cargo derricks and forecastle deck. A two-masted schooner is dimly discernible at anchor in the harbour. Commercial and residential buildings and cultivated ground are at the foot of the Caldereta and its crater is beyond the ship's mast.
