The breakwater and harbour at Santa Cruz de la Palma, Canary Islands

The breakwater and harbour at Santa Cruz de la Palma, Canary Islands. The photographer is looking north from the outer end of the breakwater showing a large number of people and some motor cars on the shore end of the breakwater by a building with Obras del Puerto (Port Works Office) and a vehicle speed restriction sign on it. In the centre at the inland end of the breakwater is a garage forecourt with a Shell petrol pump and on the hill above is a large poster panel advertising Goodyear tyres. Town buildings and the wooded slopes of the Caldera de Taburiente are in the background.
