The photographer is in a boat alongside the port side of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Viceroy of India (1929) which is anchored offshore. A local rowing boat is alongside the ship. The zigzag steps leading from the landing place up the cliff to the town can be clearly seen. A vertical format negative.
