The Strandweg, beach and Wandelhoofd Koningin Wilhelmina pier at Scheveningen, The Netherlands. The photographer is looking north-east-by-north showing a small amount of traffic on the Strandweg but the beach is well populated. The Wandelhoofd Koningin Wilhelmina pier was opened in May 1901 and the pavilion at the end was completely destroyed by fire 26 March 1943. German forces removed the remainder of the pier later in 1943.
