Motor fishing vessels alongside a wharf on the waterfront of Sogndal in Sognefjord, Sogn og Fjordane, Norway. The photographer is looking west-by-south from a boat offshore showing two of the wooden built motor fishing vessels berthed abreast and seen from abaft the port beam. Two other boats, one registered R-60-A, are moored stern-on to the wharf and are seen from off the port bow. rowing boats are also alongside this wharf which has the names Sjur and Olsen on them. On the right is a passenger landing place with a motor lifeboat from a passenger cruise ship alongside it. All of the houses are wooden built, most with tiled roofs and brick-built chimneys. The hills in the background are heavily wooded.
