Seascape from the 'Panaghis M. Hadoulis'

A seascape sketch showing an empty horizon from the deck of the 'Panaghis M. Hadoulis'. The artist has concentrated on the intensity of the light from the reflection in the sky, falling over a dark sea. The overall greyness of the sky is echoed in the depiction of the heavy storm clouds. Everett sailed in the Greek-owned steamer, 'Panaghis M. Hadoulis', from Cardiff, Wales, to Montevideo, Uruguay, and back between December 1931 and March 1932.
