A view of the waterfront of Sogndal on Sognefjord, Sogn og Fjordane, Norway.
A general view of the waterfront of the village of Sogndal on Sognefjord, Sogn og Fjordane, Norway. The photographer is looking west from on board the Orient Line cruise ship Orontes (1929) anchored offshore and motor fishing vessels are alongside the wharves on the right. One of the ship's motor tenders is heading back to the ship and beyond it is the mouth of the Sogndalselvi (Sogndal river) in the centre of the picture. The Stedje Church is in the trees on the left. The hills in the background are heavily wooded.
