The harbour and the Grand Hotel Vittoria at Sorrento, Italy. The photographer is looking south-south-west from the end of the breakwater showing a number of boats drawn up on the foreshore in front of the 3-storey Canottieri Italia building (Italia Rowing Club). The Excelsior Gate to the Grand Hotel Vittoria is just above the rowing club and the lift tower up to the hotel is further on the right. The Hotel La Terrazza is on the clifftop on the right of the picture. The negative is incorrectly captioned 'Capri'.
