The motor lifeboat F of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Viceroy of India (1929) alongside a landing place at Spitsbergen, Norway. The photographer is on shore looking towards the starboard bow of the lifeboat which is alongside the hulk of a wooden ship which is connected to a walkway by a narrow footplank. Officers and crew of the ship are on the landing stage waiting for the return of tourists from a shore excursion. Negative number P95240 was taken on the same occasion.
