A general view of the port at Stavanger, Norway.
A general view of the port at Stavanger, Norway. The photographer is on board an Orient Line cruise ship anchored in the outer harbour looking towards the quays and the town. He is looking to port and and forward from the centreline just abaft the mainmast showing the cargo derricks stowed in the foreground and the empty davits of the aft lifeboat. Many of the buildings on the left are right at the water's edge and one has Kullager painted on the wall. Saint Petri Church is in the centre of the picture.
