A general view of part of the port at Stavanger, Norway.
A general view of part of the port at Stavanger, Norway. The photographer is on board a cruise ship anchored in the outer harbour looking towards some of the wharves and waterside warehouses on the industrial outskirts of the town. Many of the premises on the right have tall brick-built chimneys and there is a particularly tall lattice steel mast with a rectangular platform at the top. The headland in the centre is low-lying and undeveloped and a small rocky islet is at the end of it. In the left background is a mountain with a line of low cloud in front of it.
