The Skagenkaien fish market at Stavanger, Norway.
The Skagenkaien fish market at Stavanger, Norway. The photographer is looking north-west across the market from the Strandkaien to the Skagenkaien. Trestle table stalls have been laid out and many people are walking around the market. A coastal passenger/cargo steamship of Det Bergenske Dampskibsselskab is moving away from the quay and another cargo ship, possibly owned by Hardanger Sunnhordlandske Dampskipsselskap, is alongside the Skagenkai close to the Toldbod building (customs house) on Skansegaten, built in 1905.
